This One Holds You In Place
I've been through a number of other neck supports and over time the foam models slowly grow weakened and lazy .  This design has two features that eliminate that problem.  First, the gel material it is made with is more substantial and holds form with less give, but is still really comfortable.  Second, the added plastic form inserted under the outer covering makes sure it can only crush so far before meeting a stop point.  Again, this keeps my neck where I want it while giving me comfortable room for movement.  By far this is the best collar solution I have found for when tension or overworking take their toll on my neck.

Practical brace
This brace is doing the job…it’s a bit shorter in height than my usual, but that’s good as it supports well and  I am able to maneuver with ease.  It’s a good backup in my neck wardrobe.

It helped me to sleep. I needed to keep my head straight due to a neck injury. When I slept my head did what it wanted and I wouldn't be able to stand the pain in the morning. Only had to use it for a week then my neck was healed.

Great Neck Support
"I just purchased another of this same style 1/2"" shorter in height.  The first one worked great but puffed out my lower chin area and pushed up my ears.  Wore it for over two weeks with excellent results, but decided to purchased the shorter height one.  I am wearing it now and it is an absolute perfect fit.  Perfect neck support and my ears are just fine.  Great pricing so that if you want to change to an other, it is affordaable.  Many thanks to the manufacturer who really worked hard to provide excellent neck support.  Also, I love the exercises as they are working well to heal my injured neck."

Good brace
The reason I got this brace is because I had thyroid surgery and I wanted to protect my neck from injury from my son. It covered up my incision perfectly and is quite soft. I slept in it a few times. It also has great Velcro and it's not going to fall off. It can be a little warm but it didn't bother me too much since it's wintertime right now.

Unbelievable pain relief!

Best Support and Comfort
I love it so much that I bought 2 of them. I’ve tried different sizes and styles but found this to be the best fit for my short neck. It’s soft and very comfortable. I only wear it during the day for when the pinched nerve in my neck acts up.

It gives good support for the neck without discomfort. I like it for driving and watching TV to maintain my posture. It helps a lot while I’m rehabbing my neck. I tried a different neck brace that didn’t have structure and it was very ineffective.

"I had ACDF surgery recently and was given a medical grade hard neck brace to wear post-op., but I figured I'd buy a soft one to sleep with. This one is cost effective, but seems to retain too much sweat odor and changes color around the elastic area due to absorbing sweat and washing. I needed to wash every few days, and the extra ""glove"" that it came with helped to prolong the need to wash so often, but the directions did not have any instructions as to the included sleeve/glove, so I figured it was to go over the neck brace as a protective layer. Though it came in black and the collar I ordered was grey.After a month of continued use, I noticed the brace becoming a looser fit than when I first started to use it, but overall I am glad that I bought this, as the required 24/7 brace wearing post surgery would have been much more difficult had I only use the hard brace alone."

Helps to lessen neck and shoulder pain
I had surgery on my spine many years ago and I experience neck and shoulder pain and pain in the back of my head in the mornings. This neck brace has really helped me to sleep better and wake with less neck, shoulder and head pain.

Bulged disc relief
Amazing relief, really instantly.  Wish it came in different colors for this particular type because it does pick up the oils from the skin (gross).  That would be my only complaint.  For the relief it provides A++.  As a FYI, I have a bulged disc in neck.  I use it only when my neck gets fatigued or I am baking as a preventive measure.  One has to keep the neck moving to get better.

I must sleep with a brace on my neck. This is now my permanent choice. It is true to the size on the chart, providing a strong but comfortable hug around the neck giving me the desired of affect of very little movement and preventing me from bending my neck forward which makes neck condition worse. I am very please. Will buy again if needed but this seems a quality product that will last a long time.

Keeps my MOUTH SHUT while sleeping with CPAP.

I have tried to use neck braces in the past without success. They either made me feel suffocated or were so loose that didn't provide any comfort. This is the first neck brace that really helps. It supports my neck in a very comfortable way and most importantly I don't feel suffocated.

Helped Hypermobile EDS in Neck
This neck brace has been a life saver!  Each morning I woke up with a migraine for the past few years as I age and my ligaments have stretched even further.  Since wearing the brace each night for about one week, I have not awaken with even a slight headache and my neck feels much more stable throughout the day.  I highly recommend.I gave 4 stars for comfort because there really isn't much comfort in a neck brace at night, although I have slept much better and deeper for having the support.

Ear size matters
I ordered the medium size, and based on my neck measurement, it fit perfectly in diameter. However, I have long ear lobs. The 3.5 inch height hits the bottom of my ears and is annoying. I should have ordered the 3.0 inch height. Make sure you measure the height from your shoulder tops to your ear bottoms when making a sizing decision.

The cover of the brace is very soft, yet the brace is stiff enough to allow support to the neck.
I purchased this for my neck because I pulled muscles in it and it is very tender.  This brace not only gives gentle support but wearing it is a gentle reminder not to turn my head.

Comfortable and durable, helps my son greatly
My son has seizures and broke his neck last November. His posture had changed afterwards and he was in pain most days. I was desperate for something to give him some comfort as well as quality of life because he couldn't do anything without being in pain. This brace has changed his life! This neck brace fits me well, is structured well, comes with a soft cover which makes it easy to wear. I now have 4 braces from Velpeau.com. The new gray one, an older blue one, the larger white one, and the tan one with the hard plastic attachment. The new gray one and the older blue one are, in my opinion, just right for keeping my head up and my neck straight. The tan one is too hard with the attachment and too soft w/o it. The white is larger and less comfortable, but I do wear it from time to time. It's just not structured right for me. I'm so happy with this company. They sent a very nice box, and included suggested exercises to help with neck & back pain. Very well done!  Thank you Velpeau!

Soft, durable and very comfortable and supportive neck brace. I have others, however none compare to this one. Fits really well and is pliable yet gives me the correct support I need. Came with a really nice silky slip on cover that can be washed by hand, air dried and is cooling to the touch and while on the neck brace keeps it feeling cool around your neck. Great product as far as I am concerned.

Neck Brace Provides Great Support
For the most part, this neck brace provides most of the help I need.  It still feels a little stiff, but I have only had it a few weeks.  The brace it is replacing is probably about 5 years old and is pulled out of the closet whenever a recurring problem happens in my neck/spine.  It is now weeks later and the mask is so very helpful.  It provides the support I need.

Excellent Neck Brace
Excellent. A few years ago, I sustained injury to my neck and back which resulted in 2 slipped disc in my neck and lower spine. Although my lower spine has been an issue for years, my neck rarely bothered me and when it did, I'd wear my old neck brace for a few days and it helped. Over the past 3 years I've noticed my neck getting worse which I believe is due to my work and over the past year, the pain has become unbearable and is almost daily now. Although I sleep with a neck pillow for support I still find myself needing a neck brace during the day. I purchased this neck brace and I really like it because it helps support my neck even when I turn sideways. It fits well. I'm happy with my purchase.

A Great relief
I had suffered so long with  painful neck stenosis.  The cortisone shots stopped working. I thought I would try a Brace.  OMG, I Love this so much.  I can't believe I didn't think of getting this sooner!

"I've had to wear a collar (hard collars and stiff foam ones) off and on for 30 years due to a neck and cervical muscle injury.  Most times they are too soft to do anything, but more often too long, or the Velcro wore out, and I have to use large rubber bands to hold them on, which doesn't work that well.  I need a pretty stiff one so the muscles don't spasm when in any static posture (reading, using a computer, etc.)  Albeit this one didn't say stiff foam, the plastic insert makes it very sturdy.  It's too tight for me to sleep in (which I never do) and I wouldn't ever or need to try that.  Finally!!  This one (small) is short enough to close without an overlapping foot of Velcro hanging off.  I only wish the small was available in a 4"" width, but this will work and I can easily get it tight enough to support my neck for fairly long periods.  So much better than I expected, fearing it would be soft foam.Kudos to Velpeau!"

I’m so happy . I just threw this other brand I bought from Amazon in the trash. I got  this one and it’s so supportive. I have a failed Third Level Cervical Fusion . I’m in a lot of pain and have to sleep with a soft collar. This one is great. It even comes with a satin cover for mire comfort.

"When I watch TV,  sometimes,  I doze off.  My head drops down & my neck pays the price.  I got this as a ""shelf"" to keep my head up.  It works great but it's stiffer than I thought it would be. I liked the different sizes.  I have a long neck so I got the 4"" collar."

Good product for support with cervical pain from disc degeneration.
Have degenerative disc C3-C4.  Have inflatable traction collar to relieve chronic pain at home. Needed support for work outside the house, in my shop, and travel. This helps to keep neck in good posture so good pain preventative. Would recommend this product for those with cervical pain.

Good product.  Ordered as a spare.  Very equivalent to the medical collar my doc gave me at less cost.  Note:  I went by the given measurements and ordered “L”.  It was way too small so i reordered “XL” and fit good.  So - id say this collar runs small.

Relief for neck and shoulder pain.
I suffer from neck and upper shoulder pain and this is very helpful in giving me relief without pain medication. I'm very happy with the product.

A Great Buy
Once my dad put it on, he was sent to tears. His neck hasn’t been treating him well for the past years, so I thought I would try this out in attempt to reduce the pain. He told me when he put it on, he could feel the difference right away. My dad was telling me how the support was great and stopped him from doing things that would usually hurt his neck. Another thing he said was that the fabric was very comfortable and not abrasive on the skin. He says it’s very comfortable. I think getting comfort blue was a good choice because the way it’s built has a small support area on the top and then the main section on the bottom unlike some of them where it’s reversed. Overall it’s a lovely product and if we need a replacement, we know where to go. :)
