It's kind of sad that I was able to buy a much better product from Amazon than the Hospital or Ortho specialist were able to provide me. My surgeon was amazed that I had one with a strap to keep it from slipping down out of position. The best $45 I've ever spent! Because I was going to need it for a couple months I bought two so I could wash one and let it dry and still have one on. The only issue I had with one of them was the metal rods in one of the pockets rubbed through the material requiring me to use a dish towel for padding. Even with that, it was a great deal!

Great value. Gets the job done with comfort
Went from depending on  crutches to barely needing a cane. Quality product, sturdy, but light and comfortable. The shoulder strap is fairly comfortable.  Could maybe use no slip padding, but that sure beats tugging to pull up the brace.

Well made
I bought this to immobilize my left knee.  While it works really well, it wasn't what I needed to help the injury to my knee, but I kept it because it was a very good price, well made and in the future someone in my family will benefit from using this brace.

Great Knee Brace
This is a great knee immobilizer. I fractured my kneecap recently, so naturally the hospital gave me a knee immobilizer. Unfortunately it kept sliding, as it’s made for an average sized person. I’m 5 ft 1inch. This one fits perfectly. It’s more like a compression sock, not bulky, and doesn’t slip. It’s has a strap to sling over your shoulder, so that you can confidently walk around. They make 3 sizes. Small, medium, and large. Not by weight, but by height.  I highly recommend it.

We got a brace from the orthopeduc surgeon's office for my daughter.  Didn't know until the bill arrived it cost $1500. It broke within 6 weeks. I reinforced some of the seems. Within 2 months, it was held together with duct tape.We bought this after reading many reviews. More durable then the $1500 brace. I did need to reinforce a seem after about a month, I went ahead and did them all at once and haven't had any other issues. This brace lasted over 4 months of daily use. It was easy to adjust as swelling decreased. And is ready if & when it is needed again. It was so worth price compared to the one from the surgeon's office

Exactly as promised
This immobilizer is so much better than the one my doctor's office gave me after proximal tibia fracture. This one does slip a little but much more comfortable and easy to adjust and it doesn't just fall off the way my other one did. I like the addition of the shoulder strap for when I have to go farther on my crutches.  My leg feels protected and I am about as comfortable as this injury will allow. This is a good product.

GREAT SUPPORT and Good Product
This brace with its 3 leg bars is perfect for my knee recovery and braces it well so that the knee is immobile.  The product is well made and much more affordable than many braces that are up to 5 times the cost.  The bars are removable so as healing progresses you can remove them rather than graduate to another bar-less brace.  Happy With the Purchase and the Product and would recommend to anyone needing a knee immobilizer and brace in one.

$40 brace beats out a $500 brace..
Nice big heavy $500 brace does what a cheap brace does.  It slips down the leg.  This one doesn't.  I got this for my mother and 1. prefers this 2. even without the belt (no instructions on putting it on but we have guessed a couple of ideas (around the neck?)  but even without it, it has hooks that are easy to pull it back up.  Easy. !  They originally gave her what I think is a $17 brace that had the metal chop into her ankles.  This one they appear not to come out so this is comfortable (20 inch one).  I can't say the fit and comfort is going to be best for everyone.  I guess I found a good one first time going.  And the therapists like this one as well.  Hey if a $40 one beats out a $500 one, certainly the Value for the Money is fantastic.

Purchased this item for a long term medical condition for one of my clients. This product is highly durable and long- lasting. Well worth the purchase price.

Works as expected.
Quality product.  After a knee replacement I had problems sleeping.  I would wake up in pain every time I would bend my knees.  This knee brace kept the knee immobile and solved the problem.  Very comfortable.

Overall this is a great knee immobilizer brace.  I bought it for my 14 yr old daughter who strained an LCL recently.  Fits her well.  As others have noted it works best worn over pants of leggings to prevent it slipping.  The only complaint she has had is that after a week of wearing it, some of the velcro does not stay stuck well now.  1 strap in particular keeps coming undone.  Overall I recommend this product though.

I purchased my Velpeau Knee Immobilizer primarily for sleeping. I recently had knee tendon surgery & the metal brace I was given is excellent but too hard for comfortable sleeping positions. The Vepeau brace is perfect with great padding over strategically placed metal supports, gives excellent stability of the knee while sleeping and also is lighter and softer for comfort while sleeping. The four Velcro closures are strong & effective.  A superb brace, I could transition to as my knee strengthens & the stronger, heavier brace may be put aside in favor of this lighter, more comfortable Velpeau knee immobilizer as I prepare for rehab. This product is being used for a quadriplegic who does not have control of muscle spasms at night. Keeps the leg straight there for keeping the body from twisting & the spine stays aligned while sleeping. Light weight, breathable, strong, Easy To Use!!!

Excellent product
The only problem my wife had was the rod that goes dn the back of the calf at the bottom it is actually bent toward the calf muscle so she had me take it out which works better for her . I believe they should just leave that rod straight at the bottom.

Great for sleep
First make sure you read everything and check the sizing before you buy. I did not but I still managed to make it work and it ended up being the one I needed. I had an injury that put me in an immobilizer for a month and the one I had just did not work for me at night. I read the reviews on this one and saw that it was reviewed highly for sleeping and poorly for walking. Fine with me I needed it only for sleeping. I'm a fluffy girl so I obviously bought the large thinking it meant thigh size. It arrived quickly much to my delight and I strapped myself in and it just slid right down my leg...regardless of how tight I had the straps. Apparently the size large means the length of your leg. I'm only 5'6. Now when I was in bed it was a different story. It did slide up and down a little if I changed positions but I could just grab the knee hole and give a lil' yank and it was good again. With this brace vs the one from the company my doctor sent me to I was able to move around more at night. I'm a side sleeper. This brace covered the length of my leg so I could swing it with no issues. The other brace was half the size and I would have to guide my leg to move it in order to change sleeping positions and laying on my left side was difficult (it was my right knee) because the brace only covered my knee basically. THIS brace made it much easier to lay on either side since the entire leg was covered. Once I got the OK to start to slowly bend my knee I took the steel supports out and it was still great.  Again here is where buying the wrong size benefited me the most....as I would bend my knee the material would bunch up in the back making it harder to bend it. That was great because I had to go very slow in case I tore it again. There was no way I could walk in it. Just going to the bathroom at night was a chore. I had to hold it up just to walk.  But 5 FIVE stars definitely for sleeping. Another huge plus is the knee hole. It was so easy to put ice on it and I would use the heat patches and not having the pressure on them was perfect. Unfortunately I will more than likely have to use this in the future so I am glad I bought this brace and messed up in buying the wrong size. For once it worked in my favor! ~ Wendy

Great Immobilizer for the knee!!!
This is the best knee Immobilizer  I have ever had, with a life problem with my knees this really works. It is very easy to put on and if so comfortable to ware, I would recommend this to everyone with knee issues. The way it stops all movement of the knee it give it time to relax and heal. Very impressed with this product.
